Lemon Basil and Walnut Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup good-quality red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic , finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup lightly toasted walnuts , chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped lemon basil
  • teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Whisk the vinegar, mustard, garlic and salt in a bowl. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil, whisking to incorporate. Stir in the walnuts, chopped basil and pepper.
