Spices ready for Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spices

For homemade pumpkin pie spice mix, let powdered cinnamon take the lead. Add dried ginger for lively zing, and nutmeg for sweet warmth, plus the cousins, allspice berries and cloves, for peppery essence. Ground mace adds a pungent note and rounds out our aromatic autumnal spice combo.

Blend your “pumpkin” spices using the freshest ground spices you can measure. If you have whole nutmeg—grate it. High quality Frontier Coop spices are sustainably sourced–and some supermarkets sell Frontier herbs and spices in bulk. Or you can shop Frontier Coop via my Amazon link.
